We recommend the following when looking for the perfect radiator:
Â
- Consider the size of the room, as larger spaces will likely require radiators with a higher heat output or maybe even multiple radiators in some cases. If unsure, try our heating calculator, which will help narrow down your search.
- If the available wall space is minimal, consider a vertical radiator to maximise this, or even look at the spaces under windows if that is an option.
- If you're looking for a specific aesthetic, there are various styles and colours available that will match in with your interior.
- Efficiency is also a key factor, especially when it comes to keeping a handle on heating bills, so look for energy-efficient models that save both energy and money; these are often aluminium, low-water-content radiators.
- Additionally, explore practical features such as smart heating options or dual-fuel towel radiators for bathrooms, so you can dry towels through the summer without having to turn the heating on.
- With consideration for the above, you can confidently make a selection that best utilises space, complements your decor, and meets your heating requirements.
Towel Bars
What good is a towel rail if you can’t hang a towel on it? With the hundreds of rail styles we stock at Trade Radiators, some designs really push the boundaries and create stunning looks.
In some cases though, customers can find themselves struggling to pop a towel over the rail whenever they like. The simple solution for the problem is to get a towel bar, and we have a range to help match any towel rail style.
Why would someone need towel bars?
Towel bars are a great space saver and ingenious way to be able to hang a towel up. If you have a rail that is a particular width, it can be hard to find a rail that will perfectly fit across the width of the radiator. When this happens, a bar is the way to go.
Some of the bars we have in stock will go across a specific portion of a rail while others can wrap around the entire towel rail to create the impression of a full rail.
How do I know if I need a towel bar?
We recommend measuring your towel rail to see if the width can take a rail hanger easily. If you can’t find a hanger that you need to fit in perfectly, a bar is a more practical solution.
What colour do radiator towel bars come in?
Depending on the bar you need, they come in the following finishes:Â
- White
- Chrome
- SatinÂ
What brands make high-quality towel bars?
If you want a bar that wraps around and has a good projection from the rail, any of the polished bars from Vela look fantastic, especially if you have a flat panel towel rail.
When you want a bar that you can throw anything on, the Trade Direct 285mm and 410mm towel bars are practical and space-saving.
What material are towel bars made from?
Towel bars are generally made from aluminium and will have a polished finish to achieve a specific tone or finish.
I don’t think I have enough room for a bar?
If you don’t think a bar will fit, or you would prefer a different look that is more discrete, shop our range of robe hooks that come in chrome and satin finishes.
Do I need anything else for my towel rail?
When you want to complete the look, our range of radiator accessories has pretty much everything you’d need for any radiator or towel rail, especially if you’re interested in smart heating controls for the likes of a bathroom towel rail you’d want to be nice and warm first thing in the morning.
